VMware Fusion installer local privilege escalation

VMware Workstation (15.x before 15.5.1) and Fusion (11.x before 11.5.1) contain an information disclosure vulnerability in vmnetdhcp. Successful exploitation of this issue may allow an attacker on a guest VM to disclose sensitive information by leaking memory from the host process.

This issue was addressed with improved checks. This issue is fixed in macOS Monterey 12.1, Security Update 2021-008 Catalina, macOS Big Sur 11.6.2. A local user may be able to cause unexpected system termination or read kernel memory.
