WebExtension content scripts can be loaded into about: pages in some circumstances, in violation of the permissions granted to extensions. This could allow an extension to interfere with the loading and usage of these pages and use capabilities that were intended to be restricted from extensions. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 64.

If the "app.support.baseURL" preference is changed by a malicious local program to contain HTML and script content, this content is not sanitized. It will be executed if a user loads "chrome://browser/content/preferences/in-content/preferences.xul" directly in a tab and executes a search. This stored preference is also executed whenever an EME video player plugin displays a CDM-disabled message as a notification message. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 59.

A redirected HTTP request which is observed or modified through a web extension could bypass existing CORS checks, leading to potential disclosure of cross-origin information. This vulnerability affects Firefox ESR < 78.1, Firefox < 79, and Thunderbird < 78.1.

If an attacker is able to alter specific about:config values (for example malware running on the user's computer), the Devtools remote debugging feature could have been enabled in a way that was unnoticable to the user. This would have allowed a remote attacker (able to make a direct network connection to the victim) to monitor the user's browsing activity and (plaintext) network traffic. This was addressed by providing a visual cue when Devtools has an open network socket. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 87.

When in an endless loop, a website specifying a custom cursor using CSS could make it look like the user is interacting with the user interface, when they are not. This could lead to a perceived broken state, especially when interactions with existing browser dialogs and warnings do not work. The unicode latin 'kra' character can be used to spoof a standard 'k' character in the addressbar. This allows for domain spoofing attacks as do not display as punycode text, allowing for user confusion. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 68.

The code for downloading files did not properly take care of special characters, which led to an attacker being able to cut off the file ending at an earlier position, leading to a different file type being downloaded than shown in the dialog.
