When DNS over HTTPS is in use, it intentionally filters RFC1918 and related IP ranges from the responses as these do not make sense coming from a DoH resolver. However when an IPv4 address was mapped through IPv6, these addresses were erroneously let through, leading to a potential DNS Rebinding attack. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 83, Firefox ESR < 78.5, and Thunderbird < 78.5.

When a user navigates to site marked as unsafe by the Safebrowsing API, warning messages are displayed and navigation is interrupted but resources from the same site loaded through websockets are not blocked, leading to the loading of unsafe resources and bypassing safebrowsing protections. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 68.

Using object or embed tags, it was possible to frame other websites, even if they disallowed framing using the X-Frame-Options header. This vulnerability affects Thunderbird < 78 and Firefox < 78.0.2.

If an XML file is served with a Content Security Policy and the XML file includes an XSL stylesheet, the Content Security Policy will not be applied to the contents of the XSL stylesheet. If the XSL sheet e.g. includes JavaScript, it would bypass any of the restrictions of the Content Security Policy applied to the XML document. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 72.

Due to incorrect JIT optimization, we incorrectly interpreted data from the wrong type of object, resulting in the potential leak of a single bit of memory. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 91 and Thunderbird < 91.

During Ion compilation, a Garbage Collection could have resulted in a use-after-free condition, allowing an attacker to write two NUL bytes, and cause a potentially exploitable crash. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 118, Firefox ESR < 115.3, and Thunderbird < 115.3.

A malicious extension could have opened a popup window lacking an address bar. The title of the popup lacking an address bar should not be fully controllable, but in this situation was. This could have been used to spoof a website and attempt to trick the user into providing credentials. This vulnerability affects Firefox ESR < 78.9, Firefox < 87, and Thunderbird < 78.9.

By injecting a cookie with certain special characters, an attacker on a shared subdomain which is not a secure context could set and thus overwrite cookies from a secure context, leading to session fixation and other attacks. This vulnerability affects Firefox ESR < 102.3, Thunderbird < 102.3, and Firefox < 105.

When a JavaScript URL (javascript:) is evaluated and the result is a string, this string is parsed to create an HTML document, which is then presented. Previously, this document's URL (as reported by the document.location property, for example) was the originating javascript: URL which could lead to spoofing attacks; it is now correctly the URL of the originating document. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 74.

A compromised content process could have provided malicious data in a `PathRecording` resulting in an out-of-bounds write, leading to a potentially exploitable crash in a privileged process. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 118, Firefox ESR < 115.3, and Thunderbird < 115.3.

A same-origin policy violation allowing the theft of cross-origin URL entries when using a meta http-equiv="refresh" on a page to cause a redirection to another site using performance.getEntries(). This is a same-origin policy violation and could allow for data theft. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 62, Firefox ESR < 60.2, and Thunderbird < 60.2.1.

Microsoft introduced a new feature in Windows 10 known as Cloud Clipboard which, if enabled, will record data copied to the clipboard to the cloud, and make it available on other computers in certain scenarios. Applications that wish to prevent copied data from being recorded in Cloud History must use specific clipboard formats; and Firefox before versions 94 and ESR 91.3 did not implement them. This could have caused sensitive data to be recorded to a user's Microsoft account. *This bug only affects Firefox for Windows 10+ with Cloud Clipboard enabled. Other operating systems are unaffected.*. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 94, Thunderbird < 91.3, and Firefox ESR < 91.3.

WebRTC in Firefox will honor persisted permissions given to sites for access to microphone and camera resources even when in a third-party context. In light of recent high profile vulnerabilities in other software, a decision was made to no longer persist these permissions. This avoids the possibility of trusted WebRTC resources being invisibly embedded in web content and abusing permissions previously given by users. Users will now be prompted for permissions on each use. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 69 and Firefox ESR < 68.1.

The about:crashcontent and about:crashparent pages can be triggered by web content. These pages are used to crash the loaded page or the browser for test purposes. This issue allows for a non-persistent denial of service (DOS) attack by a malicious site which links to these pages. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 64.

The developer page about:memory has a Measure function for exploring what object types the browser has allocated and their sizes. When this function was invoked we incorrectly called the sizeof function, instead of using the API method that checks for invalid pointers. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 86.

Concurrent use of the URL parser with non-UTF-8 data was not thread-safe. This could lead to a use-after-free causing a potentially exploitable crash. This vulnerability affects Firefox ESR < 102.3, Thunderbird < 102.3, and Firefox < 105.

Context-specific code was included in a shared jump table; resulting in assertions being triggered in multithreaded wasm code. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 86.

When processing a redirect with a conflicting Referrer-Policy, Firefox would have adopted the redirect's Referrer-Policy. This would have potentially resulted in more information than intended by the original origin being provided to the destination of the redirect. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 86.

An ambiguous file picker design could have confused users who intended to select and upload a single file into uploading a whole directory. This was addressed by adding a new prompt. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 85.

Mozilla Developer Nicolas Silva found that when using WebRender, Firefox would under certain conditions leak arbitrary GPU memory to the visible screen. The leaked memory content was visible to the user, but not observable from web content. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 77.

Address bar spoofing via bidirectional characters

Through a series of DOM manipulations, a message, over which the attacker had control of the text but not HTML or formatting, could be overlaid on top of another domain (with the new domain correctly shown in the address bar) resulting in possible user confusion. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 90.

The `VideoBridge` allowed any content process to use textures produced by remote decoders. This could be abused to escape the sandbox. This vulnerability affects Firefox ESR < 115.6, Thunderbird < 115.6, and Firefox < 121.

When browsing a document hosted on an IP address, an attacker could insert certain characters to flip domain and path information in the address bar. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 77.

After requesting multiple permissions, and closing the first permission panel, subsequent permission panels will be displayed in a different position but still record a click in the default location, making it possible to trick a user into accepting a permission they did not want to. *This bug only affects Firefox on Linux. Other operating systems are unaffected.*. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 91 and Thunderbird < 91.

<code>NSSToken</code> objects were referenced via direct points, and could have been accessed in an unsafe way on different threads, leading to a use-after-free and potentially exploitable crash. This vulnerability affects Thunderbird < 91.8, Firefox < 99, and Firefox ESR < 91.8.

`EncryptingOutputStream` was susceptible to exposing uninitialized data. This issue could only be abused in order to write data to a local disk which may have implications for private browsing mode. This vulnerability affects Firefox ESR < 115.6 and Firefox < 121.

The browser could have been confused into transferring a screen sharing state into another tab, which would leak unintended information. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 85.

Mixed-content checks were unable to analyze opaque origins which led to some mixed content being loaded. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 92.

The executable file warning was not presented when downloading .msix, .msixbundle, .appx, and .appxbundle files, which can run commands on a user's computer. *Note: This issue only affected Windows operating systems. Other operating systems are unaffected.* This vulnerability affects Firefox < 119, Firefox ESR < 115.4, and Thunderbird < 115.4.1.

It was possible to cause the use of a MessagePort after it had already been freed, which could potentially have led to an exploitable crash. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 120, Firefox ESR < 115.5.0, and Thunderbird < 115.5.

WebExtensions with the correct permissions were able to create and install ServiceWorkers for third-party websites that would not have been uninstalled with the extension. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 95.

Use-after-free triggered by XSLTProcessor

When listening for page changes with a Mutation Observer, a malicious web page could confuse Firefox Screenshots into interacting with elements other than those that it injected into the page. This would lead to internal errors and unexpected behavior in the Screenshots code. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 83.

If the ALT and "a" keys are pressed when users receive an extension installation prompt, the extension will be installed without the install prompt delay that keeps the prompt visible in order for users to accept or decline the installation. A malicious web page could use this with spoofing on the page to trick users into installing a malicious extension. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 67.

A compromised content process could send a message to the parent process that would cause the 'Click to Play' permission prompt to be shown. However, due to lack of validation from the parent process, if the user accepted the permission request an attacker-controlled permission would be granted rather than the 'Click to Play' permission. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 70.

A malicious page can briefly cause the wrong name to be highlighted as the domain name in the addressbar during page navigations. This could result in user confusion of which site is currently loaded for spoofing attacks. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 67.

On some systems—depending on the graphics settings and drivers—it was possible to force an out-of-bounds read and leak memory data into the images created on the canvas element. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 120, Firefox ESR < 115.5.0, and Thunderbird < 115.5.
