The mget function in softmagic.c in file 5.x, as used in the Fileinfo component in PHP before 5.4.40, 5.5.x before 5.5.24, and 5.6.x before 5.6.8, does not properly maintain a certain pointer relationship, which allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (application crash) or possibly execute arbitrary code via a crafted string that is mishandled by a "Python script text executable" rule.

A flaw was found in python. In algorithms with quadratic time complexity using non-binary bases, when using int("text"), a system could take 50ms to parse an int string with 100,000 digits and 5s for 1,000,000 digits (float, decimal, int.from_bytes(), and int() for binary bases 2, 4, 8, 16, and 32 are not affected). The highest threat from this vulnerability is to system availability.

Multiple heap-based buffer overflows in the XML manifest encryption tag parsing functionality in OpenOffice.org and LibreOffice before 3.5.5 allow remote attackers to cause a denial of service and possibly execute arbitrary code via a crafted Open Document Text (.odt) file with (1) a child tag within an incorrect parent tag, (2) duplicate tags, or (3) a Base64 ChecksumAttribute whose length is not evenly divisible by four.

This attack appear to be exploitable via an attacker specifying attributes or elements in the XML document. This vulnerability appears to have been fixed in 2.1.1 or later.

Multiple buffer overflows in the dissect_a11_radius function in the CDMA A11 (3G-A11) dissector (packet-3g-a11.c) for Ethereal 0.10.9 and earlier allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via RADIUS authentication packets with large length values.

Buffer overflow in client/mysql.cc in Oracle MySQL and MariaDB before 5.5.35 allows remote database servers to cause a denial of service (crash) and possibly execute arbitrary code via a long server version string.

This may allow an unauthenticated remote attacker to create a denial of service condition on the system.

Microsoft ASP.NET Core Security Feature Bypass Vulnerability

A vulnerability was discovered in the 389 Directory Server that allows an unauthenticated attacker with network access to the LDAP port to cause a denial of service. The denial of service is triggered by a single message sent over a TCP connection, no bind or other authentication is required. The message triggers a segmentation fault that results in slapd crashing.

An assertion-failure flaw was found in Qemu before 2.10.1, in the Network Block Device (NBD) server's initial connection negotiation, where the I/O coroutine was undefined. This could crash the qemu-nbd server if a client sent unexpected data during connection negotiation. Using that overflow, a malicious or broken NTLM server could trick libcurl to accept a bad length + offset combination that would lead to a buffer read out-of-bounds.

runc through 1.0.0-rc8, as used in Docker through 19.03.2-ce and other products, allows AppArmor restriction bypass because libcontainer/rootfs_linux.go incorrectly checks mount targets, and thus a malicious Docker image can mount over a /proc directory.
